How to use this curriculum in your classroom:

Anchor Chart Posters: Hang these posters around the room at the beginning of the unit to immerse your students in the vocabulary. Students will then refer to the posters throughout the unit for definitions and examples.

Science text: This text will anchor students’ understanding and knowledge of chemistry concepts. Choose to read this as a whole class assignment, assign students in small groups to work together, or try a flipped approach and assign it as homework.

Hands-on Activities: There is no better way to solidify learning than to let students work with their hands. All use easy-to-find items and will motivate and engage your students.

Note activity: Use the graphic organizers to summarize learning. Once students complete the organizers, they can use them as reference pages for the remainder of the unit.

Review activities: There are many review activities included. Most have print and digital options.

Project or test: Assess student knowledge using the project or test. Projects allow for differentiation. It may have a print and digital option if a test is included. The digital option will enable you to edit to meet the needs of your classroom.
