Teach students about the skeletal and muscular systems by introducing their parts, functions, and importance to the human body using print and digital materials. This skeletal and muscular system unit includes posters, science readings, graphic organizers, review activities, and an assessment.

- Digital Google Slides links to the science readings, graphic organizers, muscular system WebQuest, and flipbook.
- Classroom decor posters for students to visualize and reference bone, cartilage, ligament, joint, marrow, smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, and cardiac muscle.

- Teacher presentation: Google Slides include visuals and notes to teach students about the jobs, parts, and connections of the skeletal and muscular systems to other body systems
- Student fill in note sheets: Students take notes during the teacher presentation. Students can use the notes to refer to throughout the unit
- Science worksheets: Science readings to gain background knowledge. Next, students can complete the graphic organizers to summarize their information and then use the review activities to solidify their understanding.
- Review the skeletal and muscular systems using these activities. Students can work in small groups or independently to answer the questions and complete the activities.
- Sub plans – Readings, graphic organizers, and review activities are easy for a sub to navigate and use
- Science centers – Put the different activities at centers so students can rotate and learn about the skeletal and muscular body systems.
